Mount for a Vortex Venom red dot sight.
Originally designed for a UK-legal GSG 1911 LBP (Long Barrel Pistol), but should work the same for any of the normal models or clones.
Itallation Itructio:
Remove the original rear-sight using a hex key.
Fit the printed iert into the novak fitting the rear-sight was originally in.
Fit the printed mount over the iert, which should rest in the rectangular hole in the base of the mount.
Place sight on-top of the mount, the bumps on the mount should fit into the recesses on the bottom of the sight, and the middle holes should line up with the ones in the sight base.
Screw 2 M3 screws (about 10mm seems the best length) through the middle holes in the sight and into the mount iert until tight.
As you are screwing directly into the printed iert, they are more or less one-use. My intention is to place some threaded ierts into it so it can be re-used. To be continued ...

Added a slimmed down veion with a slightly better fit to the rear of the slide. I've also added one with a charging handle built in.

Added further mounts/ierts that have been sized so you can iert brass M3 threaded ierts, to make the sight iert re-usable. The ones I'm using are:
