Pez Edition OpenC 1:10 Truggy (V1.1) Redesigned to be built using US source-able parts, capable of a 3S LiPo system, and re-engineered for improved suspeion and steering performance. So far, modificatio made allow for 2 inches of travel, increased negative camber under compression unlike before, and a steady turn radius of just under 2’ 5.25”, furthest point of the car to the center of steering, thanks to Ackermann steering geometry (no scrubbing either). Parts to purchase (MUST get these except for dowel pi, which can be ground from rivets): HSP 188015 CVD (x2): HSP 02024 diff (x2): HSP 02016 CVD Cups: HSP 02030 Diff Drive/pinion(x2): RedCat Suspeion Arm Hinge Pi: Redcat Racing Ball Head Screw A, 6 count: 2x32mm Dowel Pi: Beta Stage list of parts (order the above still): Traxxas Stampede VXL Screw Kit: Hilitchi 260-Piece Metric M3 Hex Counteunk Screw Kit: Traxxas PTFE Washe (5x8x.5mm): 5x10x4mm bearings (GET 2 OF): Final Stage list of parts (order parts above still): [NEW] FLYSKY RC 3 CH 2.4Ghz Tramitter TX/RX Combo: [NEW] BQLZR 110MM Aluminum Alloy Black 1:10 Rear Shock Absorber (may change, hold off on buying these if you want to wait 'til I torture test them) [NEW] BMS-620MG High Torque Servo (Metal Gear) 9.1kg / .15sec / 50g (IF YOU ARE USING METAL CENTER DIFF [2S-3S Lipo]) Turnigy Trooper 4x4 Metal Center Diff: Turnigy Trooper 4x4 14t Metal Pinion Gear: 6x12x4mm and 10x15x4mm bearings: RedCat Racing 84mm Dogbones: [NEW] Axial AX30427 12mm Aluminum Hubs (necessary for 3S / 2S maybe) [NEW] Tacon 3660-540L-11T Brushless Motor 2200KV [NEW] HobbyWing eZRun-60A-SL Brushless ESC (IF YOU ARE USING PRINTED CENTER DIFF [2S LiPo]) 6x12x4mm bearings: 10x15x4mm bearings: Motor to be figured out by one of you. Batteries just need to fit within 138x46.5x36.5mm, If battery moves too much (especially with 2S, then place some foam wherever needed, if someone wants to edit the battery holder to secure 2s batteries, please do such. Just an fyi, SMC Racing makes some very good LiPo packs for a great price. Price for parts above for center metal diff veion(2S-3S LiPo): ~$315.15 [before tax & shipping] Price for parts above for printed center diff veion(2S LiPo): ~$220.86 [before tax & shipping] (no motor or esc though, so not the final price) Custom Builde Tips: Moto: Keep the kv rating below 2400kv (can still do 54 mph which is great) on the metal diff build for heat purposes as 3500kv was a bit too much, allowing for 80mph on 12t, but super poor efficiency leading to 250F (110C) motor temps. It's not a good thing for the plastic: it warped the NGen center case a fair amount... and that's high temp stuff. Luckily Colorfabb makes another co-poly plastic (HT) that can withstand 100C. Might be a good idea to order some if you don't have it already, and are looking for some fast speed ru ;). Shocks: I am currently using old Traxxas Slash 4x4 Shocks in the front, so if you dont want to design dowtops for them (suspeion limiting space), then comment below and I'll post them in the list of stls. As for the rear, I'm using Chinese BQLZR Shocks. Upon request, I have uploaded the dowtops for the shock that need to be italled on the shaft iide the shock body. These are only meant for the rear, so until I itall the same shocks on the front, it'll be up to someone else knowing what they are doing to make the dowtops. Otherwise my shock cap pivot to heim joint lengths are: Front: 83.50mm in the closest mounting hole Rear: 97.75mm in the furthest mounting hole V 1.1 Changes -Modified/added stronger turnbuckles in various sizes to allow for camber adjustments. -Modified the F-6 and R-8.65 arms for stronger outer hingepin support. -Added in the rear hubs used. (dazmatic's hubs) -Added a shorter veion of the servo arm (Inward Mounted Servo) for steering servos mounted using the other inward mounting location.
